  1. Topps must have been reaching to fill out the set

  2. I figure justification of a card is more about time played in 1971 versus anticipated future playing time. The 1972 set a huge one and there are several players who never played again in organized ball.

  3. The first Colt .45 and the last Brooklyn Dodger … neat stuff.

I love this set more all the time - I hope to find out some of the better trivia questions on the back.

  4. To me each player has something interesting. The set represents a huge comeback to card buying after off year in 1971. The set is colorful and modern with the return of full stats. I've never really focused on the trivia questions, but I will a bit more. Sometimes the questions are so obscure that it has to be the player on the card.
